Haven't spoken to each other in 3 decades
An interesting election race for Port Colborne mayor.
CTV news is reporting two brothers are taking each other on, and they haven't spoken to each other in about 30 years.
Bill Steele was running unopposed, until the day before registration to run was closed.
That's when his brother Charles showed up on the ballot.
Charles feels his brother, who's been a councillor for many years, and mayor since last term, hasn't done much in the top job. Bill wants to focus on water rates, bringing more doctors to the area and working on infrastructure. Charles' aim includes affordable housing, cutting taxes and helping the homeless.
He adds for anyone to be acclaimed to a seat is not democracy, so he's decided to take the shot.
