A Niagara Falls City Councillor has found herself in hot water.
Following a report from the Integrity Commissioner, her fellow council members have voted in favour of suspending her pay for 90 days.
CAO Ken Todd filed the complaint. He claimed that Ioannoni called him a liar in an e-mail late last year.
Councillor Wayne Campbell says she was also given the chance to apologize multiple times.
"I read this report and how many times did Mr. Todd offer to stop the suit if an apology was made and there was no apology made."
Councillor Lori Lococo voted against the economic sanction.
She says we need to look at other ways to settle these disputes.
