Covid-19 Booster Shots for All Possible This Fall

NACI says boosters could be available for all Canadians regardless of the number of previous doses received

The National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) says while COVID-19 deaths and hospitalizations have been on the decline, there is a possibility cases will spike again this fall.

NACI is calling on provinces to be prepared for booster shots for all Canadians, no matter the number of booster doses a person had previously received.

They are recommending everyone from 12 to 64 years of age, but especially those who may be at an increased risk of severe illness from the virus.

It says it will provide recommendations on the type of COVID-19 vaccine to be offered for this booster dose as more evidence becomes available.
