Fort Erie Urgent Care Centre to Re-open Tomorrow

Centre will provide 24/7 service beginning tomorrow.

The Fort Erie Urgent Care Centre will fully re-open tomorrow at 8 AM.

Niagara Health says staffing levels have stabilized, and the centre will be able to provide 24/7 service.

"Thankfully, the number of COVID-19 cases in the community and in the hospital continue to decrease, and our staffing levels have stabilized," says Lynn Guerriero, Niagara Health President and CEO. "We are now in a position to safely redeploy our UCC staff and physicians back to the Fort Erie Site."

The centre was temporarily closed in January to redeploy emergency-trained staff and physicians to emergency departments in dire need.

Niagara Health is reminding residents that primary care such as family doctors and walk in clinics should be the first point of care.

Urgent Care Centres can be used in situations that are not an emergency yet can't wait for a scheduled appointment.
