GTA Residents Charged in Attempted B&E

Police called after suspects seen climbing balcony to house in Lincoln

An attempted break and enter in Lincoln has been thwarted by police, with the help of the public.

Just before 3, Friday afternoon, police were alerted to two masked people trying to climb a balcony to a home in the Connor Drive and Mountain Street area.

When they got there, police say they blocked a waiting BMW, in which they found a suspect woman, a gun, some drugs and money.

Police add the two suspects climbing the balcony ran, but were caught.

Courtney WANNAN (29 years) of Toronto faces the following criminal charges:

  • Break Enter and Commit Theft Over $5000
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm Knowing Possession Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking

Camarr BROWN (24 years) of no fixed abode faces the following criminal charges:

  • Break Enter and Commit Theft Over $5000
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm Knowing Possession Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking

Tristan HUDSON-RIDER (29 years) of Mississauga faces the following criminal charges:

  • Break Enter and Commit Theft Over $5000
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm Knowing Possession Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking

As a result of the investigation police seized the following:

  • 2 kilograms of suspected cocaine
  • 20 suspected fentanyl tablets
  • Approximately 60 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • A large quantity of jewellery valued at more that $100,000
  • In excess of $5000 worth of Canadian currency

The three suspects had bail hearings over the weekend, but were kept behind bars.
