iGaming To Handle Sports Betting in Province

Province prepares for move to single event sports gambling

The province is creating a new subsidiary to handle single sports betting.

The Ford government says iGaming will be a new division of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission and will manage new online gaming offerings.

This comes after Ottawa approved single-event sports betting last month.

Attorney General Doug Downey says he hopes it will establish Ontario as a world leader in the industry.
