Following a tough pothole season, the region's Associate Director of Transportation says work is planned for the fall, and further rebuild in a longer plan
If you use Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls, there's a chance you might slow down, or drive more careful than usual, all to avoid potholes or the general condition.
That's a regional road, to which Associate Director of Transportation Richard Daniel tells us it is one of the top roads in Niagara they have their eye on.
A section was resurfaced recently, but there's more coming. "Timing wise, it's scheduled to occur later this season in the fall, as part of the annual resurfacing program, and the approximate limits of that work will be on Lundy's Lane between Montrose and Dorchester."
He adds their road crews are working around the region identifying problem areas.
He also says this season brought more challenges than recent warmer winters, and they are targeting certain problem areas. "A section of road in Welland, the East, West Main area, that's a highly travelled road, and then there's two sections in Niagara Falls... McLeod Road, and certainly Lundy's Lane in the tourist area."
