Man Seriously Hurt After Niagara Falls Crash

Police say the man was riding a scooter, when it hit a Mercedes driven by a man from Ohio

A serious two vehicle crash in Niagara Falls has left a 30-year old man with life threatening injuries.

Police say it happened yesterday afternoon in the Drummond Road and Frederica Street area.

They found the St. Catharines man was riding a scooter on Prospect, before turning onto Drummond.

Police say subsequently a 72-year old man from Ohio was driving a Mercedes along Drummond, when the scooter swiped the rear driver side of the car, causing the driver to fall off.

He was taken to an out of region hospital with life threatening injuries.

The road was reopened just after 8pm.
