Rene Robert, one of the famous members of the team's French Connection has passed away at the age of 72, just days after suffering a heart attack.
The Sabres noting " his accomplishments on the ice as a member of the French Connection speak for themselves, but his impact in the community continued long past his playing career."
Sabres owner Terry Pegula adding "He was a friend to us and the entire organization, he will be missed dearly."
