Representatives of the school received the award in Jamaica, for excellence in research and innovation

Niagara College has been recognized in Jamaica for its work in research and innovation.

Representatives of the college received a silver award, on Wednesday, from the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP)’s Awards of Excellence.

This category honours an institution demonstrating excellence in addressing real world challenges.

The school's VP Sean Coote says this adds to Niagara College's standing as Canada's number one college for research, consistently ranking in the top 10 for nearly a decade.

The award celebrates training delivered by the school in Latin America, leading to projects improving the lives of over 800,000 people in the region.
