Niagara Health providing virtual service to residents without access to primary care provider.
Niagara residents who need urgent care but don't have access to a primary care provider can now book an appointment to see a Niagara Health provider virtually.
The service is for adults who have an urgent health issue or concern that is not life threatening.
During the visit, providers will assess the patient's condition and recommend treatment.
If patients feel a physical exam is needed, they are urged to contact their family doctor.
If they don't have one, patients may be directed to the closest Emergency Department, where they can continue their visit without repeating their situation.
Niagara Health says appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis Monday to Friday from 11 AM to 4:30 PM, and same day appointments can be made.
