Niagara Politicians React to Safe Restart Funding Announcement

The Mayor of St. Catharines was quite happy to hear about the Safe Restart Funding announcement from the province.

The Garden City will receive about $2.7-million and Mayor Walter Sendzik says its great news for the municipality.

He says the money will support the community as we continue the battle against COVID-19.

Regional Chair Jim Bradley would to also thank the province for the new Safe Restart Funding.

The Region will receive over $9-million and Bradley says it will provide much needed financial relief for the costs associated with the pandemic.

Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff announced the $17,437,000 yesterday and you can find the complete break down for each municipality below;
