Niagara Reacts to Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland Becoming Finance Minister

Niagara Centre MP Vance Badawey is congratulating Chrystia Freeland.

She became the first woman to ever assume of the role as Canada's Finance Minister yesterday and she's still going to be the Deputy Prime Minister.

In a post on Twitter, Badawey says he's looking forward to working with Freeland on a number of projects that will benefit Niagara.

St. Catharines Mayor Walter Sendzik also congratulated Freeland over Twitter yesterday.

He's wishing her all the best and he's confident that she will produce a strong economic recovery plan for Canada.
