NRP Arrest Two for Break and Enter, Drugs

A man and a woman from St. Catharines are facing several charges in a break and enter investigation.

The investigation started in December after a storage unit near Vine Street and Carlton Street was broken into.

The unit was contained in a multi-unit residential apartment building.

A female suspect was identified after officers noticed a Kijiji advertisement for the sale of some of the items.

On March 2nd, detectives arranged to meet with the female suspect.

She showed up with a male, who was also arrested.

A search of the pair and their car resulted in the seizure of 75.9 grams of crystal meth, 10 grams of fentanyl, and $2255.00 in Canadian cash believed to be the proceeds of crime.

Detectives also located an accordion, which is believed to have been stolen.

Eighteen year old Alissia Mary Wells and 36 year old Dustin Gerrard face charges for numerous offences relating to drug possession and possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5000.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward by calling 905-688-4111, extension 1009461.
