Police looking for suspect of stolen Audi
Police are looking for the driver of a stolen Audi involved in a fatal collision in St. Catharines.
NRP arrived at the corner of Welland Avenue and Ontario Street last night, to find the black Audi collided with a Chevy Malibu, the 31-year old St. Catharines man in that Malibu died later at hospital.
Police found less than an hour earlier, the Audi had been stolen from a parking lot in the Scott and Niagara Street area.
They learned the driver of the Audi had left the car running while in a store, with a passenger waiting in the car.
An unknown man approached the car, and threatened the passenger, who got out.
The thief sped off at a high rate of speed, which led to the crash.
Police say the suspect in the stolen car was seen running away, and believe he'll have an injury to his forehead, resulting in blood loss.
Police believe there may be witnesses who saw this happen, and are urging them to call police.
They're also asking the public to remain vigilant, and report any information that will help to catch this suspect.
