NRP Investigating a Homicide in Niagara Falls Park

Police are still looking for suspect

Niagara Regional Police are investigating a homicide in Niagara Falls. 

Just before 3 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) emergency crews were called to John Allan Park on Kalar Road for reports of a disturbance. 

Upon arrival police found an adult male suffering from critical injuries.  

Despite efforts of EMS the man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

NRP along with the canine unit conducted a search of the area but were not able to located a suspect. 

Detectives from the NRPS Homicide Unit have taken over the investigation and are attempting to develop a description for the unknown suspect.

NRP say there is there is no information to suggest that there is an immediate threat to the safety but say the park will remain closed and the public should expect to see a heavy police presence in the area. 

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
