First Nations chiefs say Greenbelt plans violate treaty agreements
First Nations chiefs in Ontario are calling on the Ford government to return Greenbelt land that was removed for housing development.
The Chiefs of Ontario have voted in favour of holding an emergency meeting against the land swap.
They say the plans violate treaty agreements and they weren't consulted on the changes.
Earlier this morning, Ontario's auditor general released a report suggesting the government's plans for the Greenbelt favoured developers connected to the Housing Minister's chief of staff.
However, Ford has denied any wrongdoing.
