Cyclist seriously injured
A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a cyclist.
The incident occurred just before 11:00 a.m. this morning on Canal Bank Street in Welland near Townline Tunnel Road.
Police tell us a 61 year old cyclist was hit by a Toyota Venza, and sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.
He was been taken to an out of region hospital.
There were road closures in the area, but the roadway fully re-opened around 1:30 p.m.
