Police are searching for a suspect who is considered to be armed and dangerous after two pizza delivery drivers were robbed at knifepoint over the weekend.
The NRP is investigating after two pizza delivery drivers were robbed at knifepoint in Thorold.
Police say the first call came in at around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday. The driver was robbed while they were out on delivery in the Niagara Falls Road and Morton Street area and the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The driver was not hurt.
The second incident happened in the area of Niagara Falls Road and Ontario Street at around 2:50 p.m. on Sunday.
This driver was also out on a delivery and they sustained minor injuries but didn't need to go to the hospital. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash once again.
Police are searching for a man in his 20s with dark skin, standing at about 5'8" and weighing about 119 pounds. He was wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt, black or brown track pants, a grey baseball cap, and a blue medical mask.
He's considered to be armed and dangerous, so anyone with information is should call the lead investigator at 905-688-4111, select option 3 and use extension 1009511. You can also submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477.
The NRP is asking local businesses in the area to check their surveillance footage at the time of the robberies. Officers would also like drivers in the area to check their dash cam footage.
