The SIU has found no reason to charge the NRP after an incident on the Central Ave bridge in Fort Erie.
Police were called to the bridge on November 30th of last year, after a concerned employee with the Peace Bridge Authority contacted them.
The employee was worried that a 28-year-old man would try to jump off the bridge, but officers spoke with the man and they left the scene after the man walked away.
Police were called back to the area less than an hour later and the SIU says the man jumped over the railing when they arrived on scene.
One of the officers tried to stop him but he fell about five metres to the embankment below.
The man fractured his pelvis, a rib and a femur.
