The Thorold Tunnel will fully reopen at the end of the month.
This means both tubes will be operational throughout the winter but you can expect more closures and restrictions in the spring.
The MTO has been working on rehabilitating the tunnel for quite some time now and only one tube has been open for two-way traffic.
An estimated 24,300 vehicles pass through the tunnel each day.
