Group represents Ontario strippers
The advocacy group will be court today arguing that provincial pandemic measures violated workers charter rights.
The group filed the court application last fall after the province ordered strip clubs closed following several outbreaks of COVID at Toronto clubs.
The strip clubs were later allowed to reopen.
But "Work Safe Twerk Safe" argues while accomodations were made for the owners of the clubs, strippers were not offered any labour protections or consulted on the measures.
