You can have your fun and learn how to stay safe.
Fire and emergency services from St. Catharines and Thorold are hosting Fun Fest on Saturday June 1st.
It's happening in the parking lot at the Real Canadian Superstore on Louth Street.
It runs from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and food donations will be collected for Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
Acting Fire Chief Jeff McCormick says it's a fun way for the community to get to know emergency responders and learn about fire safety.
They will be passing along safety messages on smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, home escape planning and staying safe with fireworks.
The event is rain or shine.
