SIU Says Officer Likely Saved a Woman's Life

The Special Investigations Unit has found no reason to charge an NRP officer, after a woman fell from the Burgoyne Bridge.

Police were called out to the area last November.

There was a woman on the bridge, she took off when they got there.

An officer tried to stop her.

The woman later fell and landed on a grassy area below.

The woman had fractures and a lung injury, but the SIU says the officer's quick action likely saved her life.
